Target intervention programme running in the five areas of West
Delhi for the High-risk groups in the community. The need of the
programme arose because of the large number of children involved
in the high-risk activities. INDCARE has done the need assessment
of the areas and found that there are over one thousand street
and working children in these areas. We have linked up with the
Indian Medical association and the government hospitals of Deen
Dayal Upadhyaya and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for the identification
of the high-risk groups and their follow up of the same. INDCARE
has provided them with counseling and meetings through focused
group discussion for the high-risk groups. Ten Peers have been
selected out of the Groups and are now regular staff of INDCARE
and an asset as they are the key persons to identify the young
target groups in the community. Five Outreach centers have been
opened in all these areas, which are Inderpuri, Kali Basti, Camp
No. V Vikas Puri, Shiv Vihar and Kumhar Colony respectively. The
names of the Contact person are Sonu and Ashok at Inderpuri; Savita
and Vijay at Kali Basti; Rakesh and Priyanka at camp No. V; Amar
